Highlighting Benefits to NAACCR Membership

Recently, the Strategic Planning and Alliances Steering Committee (SPASC) considered the many benefits NAACCR brings its members to provide clear messaging around the value of NAACCR. The initial approach was to document the many services, products, practices, opportunities, and professional connections the organization offers and then to prioritize these benefits based on feedback from the membership. The SPASC narrowed the list to 20 key benefits and distributed a survey requesting that volunteers on NAACCR Steering Committees and the NAACCR Board rank these in order of importance. There were 24 respondents to the survey. SPASC members compiled the rankings into a WordCloud, which visually conveys the top benefits by the word’s sizing. Visualizing these benefits in this way quickly and easily conveys the services the respondents felt were most important. While not a representative sample, the survey of other Steering Committees confirmed the sentiments of the SPASC.

The WordCloud graphic can be utilized to promote the value of NAACCR to its members and as a tool to educate stakeholders on the specific services NAACCR offers. We hope that this exercise can underscore the many member benefits in a way that is consumable and easy to share. We would welcome your feedback and thoughts about what you consider to be NAACCR’s value to members. Feel free to reach out to any of the SPASC members or email NAACCR and let us know what you think!
