The CiNA Writing Network is a new Research & Data Use workgroup! This workgroup will oversee methods and research papers using CiNA data. The workgroup will consist of five members and additional subcommittee members for each paper topic. Member responsibilities include:

  • identifying topics for papers;
  • guiding and advising interested investigators;
  • analyzing CiNA data;
  • writing and reviewing papers;
  • maintaining the CiNA Data Products Landing page and the resources on the page.

The workgroup aims to produce one paper a year with the possibility of more, given interest. A goal of the workgroup is to help showcase CiNA data and encourage its use. This workgroup will meet monthly by Zoom with 1-2 hours of work total expected monthly.

If you enjoy epidemiologic or methods-based research, this workgroup is for you. You do not need to have experience with CiNA data, just an interest in learning more about it and getting to know other NAACCR members. There will be opportunities for new and more established NAACCR members to work together with each other and with partners outside of central cancer registries on papers. Fran Maguire and Recinda Sherman are co-chairs of this workgroup.

If you are interested in joining, please email your current job title and research interests.
