The NAACCR Professional Development Steering Committee’s Upkeep Work Group is developing a series of 14–15 online training modules to support central cancer registry professionals—and we need your expertise!

We’re covering a wide range of topics, including:

  • Reporting Requirements
  • Casefinding
  • Processing Incoming Records
  • Edits & Consolidation
  • Quality Control (QC)
  • Geocoding
  • Surveillance Activities
  • Research File Development

Have experience in any of these areas? If you’ve done the work or helped train others, we’d love to have you involved—whether on the Work Group or as part of a topic-specific task force.

Our first module, The Role of Edits in a Central Registry, is nearly complete and ready for final review. Up next:

  • The Role of Central Cancer Registries
  • Geocoding
  • Reporting Sources & Requirements

We’re aiming to wrap these by the end of the year.

Want to get involved?

  • Fill out the MAP Form and log in with your myNAACCR credentials.
  • Under “Interests,” select Professional Development
  • On the next page, choose to serve on a Work Group
  • In the text box, mention your interest in the Upkeep WG

Not ready for the full WG commitment? You can still help develop specific modules! Just complete the MAP Form and note your topic(s) of interest.

Let’s build something great together—hope to hear from you soon!
