Happy 2024!
I hope your new year is off to a good start, and you had a safe and happy holiday season. As many of you prepare progress reports for funders, be sure to reflect on all the hard work you and your staff have accomplished.
Things are moving along with NAACCR’s Strategic Priorities and Executive Director transition:
- Strategic Priorities: The Strategic Management Plan Workgroup and the Steering Committee Chairs have been working hard on their work plans. The Board and Committee Chairs are meeting in person in March to finalize goals and objectives. Please save the date for a NAACCR virtual Town Hall on March 27, 2024, for your opportunity to provide comments on the 2024-2027 Strategic Management Plan. Recommendations for a Minimum Data Set for incidence has been accepted by the NAACCR Board and has been provided to the High-Level Strategic Group for their approval.
- Executive Director Transition: The transition team completed listening sessions with NPCR, SEER, and AJCC leadership, Registry Directors, NAACCR Staff and NAACCR Board. The sessions provided input on key external and internal skills the new Executive Director should demonstrate. This information will be used to develop the Job Description and Interview Questions.
Stay tuned for continued updates.
Once again, I ask any of you not already volunteering in some capacity, to consider serving on a task force, work group, and/or committee. NAACCR’s strength is in the valuable participation of its members and participation provides a wonderful opportunity to learn and network with others. For more information on all the groups, please review the Committee Directory. I encourage you to fill out a form for the Member Ambassador Program, which matches your skills and interests with existing groups.
If you ever have any thoughts or concerns, don’t hesitate to contact me at [email protected].
