What a great trip it was to attend the National Cancer Registrars Association Annual Conference!
We had several NAACCR members attend and give presentations (https://narrative.naaccr.org/naaccr-participation-at-the-ncra-annual-conference-2024/). In addition to the wonderful presentations, NCRA took time to celebrate their 50th Anniversary. At the 50th Anniversary Recognition and Celebration Reception there was recognition of 50 for 50 Heros, individuals that were “legends in the profession nominated by their peers.”

Our very own Jim Hofferkamp was nominated by two individuals to receive the Educational Achievement Award. When his name was announced he received a standing ovation. It says a lot about Jim and how he is viewed and appreciated in the NCRA community. Upon receiving his award he gave recognition to NCRA for their 50th Anniversary and presented NCRA President Maria Teresa J. Ramirez with a recognition award from NAACCR. Congratulations NCRA on 50 years and Congratulations Jim!
