Happy National Cancer Registrars Week! On behalf of the NAACCR Board of Directors, I want to take this opportunity to honor all cancer registrars for your continued dedication in collecting high-quality data. This year’s theme, “A Diverse Workforce Serving a Diverse Population,” perfectly aligns with the foundation of NAACCR’s mission: “Working Together to Make Every Cancer Count.” From our diverse workforces in our hospitals, central registries, standard setters and partners, we all work together to make sure all populations are represented in our data. We are stronger as a community because of our varied backgrounds, strengths and perspectives.
NAACCR has made Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) an overarching priority. DEI will be a major aspect of work being conducted by NAACCR staff, the Board, Steering Committees, workforces and task forces.
We thank you for your unparalleled hard work and commitment that ultimately benefits all cancer patients.
Happy National Cancer Registrars Week!
