In the coming months, NAACCR and the Standardization and Registry Development Steering Committee will be engaging with the registry community to review and revise NAACCR Standards for Completeness, Quality, Analysis, Management, Confidentiality and Security of Data (formerly known as Volume III). Cancer registry systems and practices have undergone substantive changes since the Standards were last updated in 2008, and it is our aim to provide up-to-date, practical guidance that will remain relevant for years to come.

While the new Standards will maintain the same objectives and target audience, we envision a more modern, dynamic format that brings together in a central location materials and resources currently available, as well as new and developing tools central registries can use to guide and improve their operations. It will function as a web-based hub central registries can count on to find the most updated practices, tools, and guidelines.

Stay tuned for more information about this exciting project!

Access the Data Quality Forum to suggest contents you would like to see in the new  Standards for Completeness, Quality, Analysis, Management, Confidentiality and Security of Data. We want to hear your thoughts!
