Spring 2021 NAACCR Narrative Leave a comment

Plans are taking shape for the NAACCR Summer Forum June 15-17, 2021. We will not be seeing you in Palm Springs as planned due to continuing COVID-19 concerns. However, our fully remote experience will offer our traditional high level educational content and member sponsored research in a new venue with plenty of opportunity to network with our colleagues and collaborators. We can’t wait until the NAACCR community can all be together in-person but until then, we are working harder than ever to bring you an awesome scientific FORUM. We plan on bringing everyone together in an on-line platform to make 2021 a brand new year to learn, share best practices, and collaborate in a one-of-a-kind event!

Plenary sessions will include:

  • 50th Anniversary of the National Cancer Act and its Impact on Cancer Surveillance
  • How data collection systems have changed since 1971 and visions of a cancer surveillance system in 2021 using tools available today
  • Innovative Research Using the Central Cancer Registry as a VTR
  • The Effect of Advances in Lung Cancer Treatment on Population Mortality and how registry data could be used to inform future studies of this nature
  • The Impact of COVID-19 on Cancer Surveillance in Canada and the United States
  • Health Disparities in Canada and the United States
  • The Cancer Path Chart Initiative
  • Enhancements and Advances of Match*Pro.
  • Updates on the Virtual Pooled Registry and National Childhood Cancer Registry Initiatives.

Don’t forget to register today!  The early bird registration ends on June 6, 2021. (Click Here)

What’s the difference?

  • The 2021 NAACCR FORUM will take place: June 15 through June 17, 2021 (Tuesday – Thursday)

  • We are reserving Friday, June 18th for the NAACCR Business Meeting, Birds of a Feather, and other networking activities

  • Educational sessions will run 1.5 hours – 2.0 hours in length with breaks in between

  • We will have a special session dedicated to interactive poster presentations

  • Mini- Forums on additional topics/special interest will be presented throughout 2021 at no additional cost

  • Recordings of sessions will be available for registrants through 2021 which they can access on-demand as their schedule permits

  • Reduced cost compared to our Annual Conference

What’s the same?

We’re bringing the best parts of NAACCR to the FORUM stage.

  • Outstanding Plenary Sessions

  • Short talks on NAACCR member-submitted content (Breakouts)

  • Scientific Posters

  • Opportunities for students

  • Networking Opportunities

  • CEUs

  • Awards, recognition, and certification

We look forward to seeing everyone together in Boise, Idaho, June 2022 at our Annual Conference. In the meantime, we will utilize innovative methods to deliver NAACCR’s high-quality content of an in-person conference in this virtual setting. We hope you will join us for the NAACCR FORUM and take time to learn, renew, re-focus, and set our sight on an optimistic future for us all in 2021 and beyond!
